Alisto! (English: Alert!) is a public service and informative program aired every Monday afternoon created by GMA News and Public Affairs which premiered on March 23, 2013 on GMA Network. The show is hosted by veteran newscaster Arnold Clavio. Every episode, the show features shocking videos of tragedies, accidents, crimes, felonies, and other documented hazards/actual footage as captured by CCTV cameras, cellphone cameras, and other video recorders.

The show features stories from actual video of people faced with life-threatening situations. The program also has regular segments exposing the latest modus operandi and stories on crime and safety.

Danger lurks at any point of the day…at all times, one must be ready. Hindi ka biktima…maging Alisto!

Beginning tomorrow, 4 p.m. GMA News and Public Affairs premieres its newest program: Alisto!

Hosted by Arnold Clavio, Alisto! features videos of tragedies, accidents, crimes, felonies, and other documented hazards—actual footage as captured by CCTV cameras, cellphone cameras, and other video recorders. Clavio also shares crucial tips on how to prioritize one’s safety.

In its pilot episode, Alisto! tells the story of an accident that took place in Sual, Pangasinan: a commuter bus lost brakes and turned upside down on the road. Casualties were recorded, but it was seven year old John Christian who suffered the most squeezed in a window.

Eyewitnesses volunteered and manually pulled John Christian from where he was squashed. But the eagerness to help only made it worse for John Christian’s condition.

Alisto! also tackles the latest Modus Operandi that uses children as accomplices in thievery. Featured are women being beaten by their partners caught on CCTV cameras. What should one do upon witnessing such acts?

“Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” is a weekly news magazine show hosted by Jessica Soho, one of the most awarded broadcast journalists in the Philippines. It features stories about current events, lifestyle trends, and interesting individuals. Jessica Soho (born March 27, 1964) is a Filipino broadcast journalist, documentarian and news director who received a George Foster Peabody Award and was the first Filipino to win the British Fleet Journalism Award in 1998. She has reported for the GMA network for 27 years. A Ka Doroy Valencia awardee, Soho was also one of the 100 Filipino Women of Distinction chosen during the centennial celebration of the Philippines. Her story of a hostage crisis in Cagayan Valley made her the first Filipino to win in the New York Film Festival for Coverage of a Breaking Story.

She helped conceptualize the one-hour documentary television program I-Witness, which ran for over 10 years becoming the longest running late-night program on the air as of 2009
Her documentaries on the Kidneys for Sale business and Kamao death sport made her the first Filipino reporter, with GMA Network as the first Filipino network, to win the George Foster Peabody Award on 1999.

Soho hosts Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho and was honored on October 14, 2008, by Quezon City with the Outstanding Citizen Award.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) was recognized as the Most Development-Oriented Magazine Program. Program host Jessica Soho got two awards – the Best Public Affairs Program Host and the Best Magazine Program Host in the Gandingan 2009: UPLB Isko’t Iska’s Broadcast Choice Awards. Gandingan 2009 is the first award-giving ceremony in the field of broadcasting instituted by Community Broadcasters’ Society (UPCBS) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). It pays tribute to the best broadcast programs that air over TV and radio.

In 2004, at the annual Cebu Federation of Beat Journalists event, she stated that “Provincial and regional journalists, in my view, are the real heroes in this profession. The dangers and risks you face and encounter are no doubt far greater than those that we face in Manila,” in reference to the 55 journalists in the country that had been killed to date, “But despite the hazards of the job, journalists must work hard and strive to make Philippine media strong, robust and credible.”

Her biggest break in news-casting entitled State of the Nation with Jessica Soho as a news anchor. Jessica Soho is a Filipino reporter, host, producer and currently the acting news director of GMA Network. She joined the GMA team in the mid-80s, fresh from college, barely finished with her undergraduate thesis.

Soho’s first voice-over report was a feature story on the inauguration of the Light Rail Transit from Baclaran to Monumento. Later she was assigned to the defense and military beat. Eventually, Soho’s reputation and responsibility have increased dramatically since then.

The program will unravel many bizarre and interesting trivia in the world of science. The four hosts are also set to perform and participate in actual experiments on the show – with no camera tricks involves, making way for more enjoyable and fun learning experience. But the learning doesn’t stop as the show will also encourage the viewers to try the experiment at home as the step-by-step instruction following each episode will also be posted in the show’s webpage. It has also segments with Moymoy Palaboy and their challenges. All female hosts displayed cosplays, like Heart Evangelista wearing Lucy Heartfillia, Miku Hatsune and others.

Imbestigador (English: Investigator) is an investigative show broadcast by GMA Network. It tackles anomalies and inconsistencies in the Philippine government. It also criticizes the corruption in the Philippine society, from overpriced items to arms smuggling, covering a wide variety of topics that sometimes include Filipino traditions and beliefs. It is a public service show that aims to inform the people of the current problems troubling the Philippines. Mike Enriquez hosts the show since he became the anchor of Saksi in 1995, and GMA Network News in 1998.

It originally aired during Wednesdays from August 2, 2000 – September 26, 2001 at 11:00 p.m., then it moved to Saturdays from October 6, 2001 to July 28, 2012. From August 5, 2012 to July 13, 2014, Imbestigador aired every Sunday at 9:15PM (PHT) after Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, in observance of the show’s 12th anniversary.[1] in July 19, 2014, Imbestigador returns to Saturdays, in response for rival, ABS-CBN’s Failon Ngayon and the newly (and recently) similarly format S.O.C.O. (Scene of the Crime Operatives).

The show on January 1, 2012 has “caught-up” on GMA Pinoy TV and is no longer one-week delayed due to the show being pre-empted on December 31, 2011 in lieu of “Trending 2011: The GMA News and Public Affairs Yearend Special”, which was also hosted by Mike Enriquez with Dingdong Dantes.

Maynila (lit. Manila) is a Filipino drama anthology that has been broadcast on Philippine television since 1999 in GMA Network.

Originally aired Mondays-Fridays and 5-day episode per week, it presently became a weekend drama anthology of inspiring stories of people who are having love problems and challenges that affect every Manileño’s lives. The show is hosted by former Manila mayor, secretary of DENR & current BUHAY Partylist Rep. Lito Atienza. The show was originally aired on weekday (Mondays to Fridays) afternoons and moved to Saturday mornings before Eat Bulaga!. After the elections, Atienza went back to the show and do acting in a cameo appearance instead of hosting.

The series now airs 2009-present on Saturdays at 10:30 AM past episodes now air internationally daily through GMA Life TV.

Ipaglaban Mo! (English: Fight For It!), also known as Kapag Nasa Katwiran, Ipaglaban Mo!, is a dramatization of actual cases brought and settled in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. It appeals to the general public because of the wide range of issues tackled. The objective is to inform and educate the masses who have the same experience or people who in the future might get into the same situation.

History – Kapag May Katwiran… Ipaglaban Mo was originally aired over IBC-13 in 1988. The program transferred to ABS-CBN in August 16, 1992 under Milliard Productions. After 52 episodes, the show “premiered” in September 1993 as a station produced program.

Fifteen years after the show ended, the legal drama returned on June 7, 2014 as part of ABS-CBN’s Yes Weekend block, airing every Saturday after It’s Showtime and before Failon Ngayon. The show is still hosted by Atty. Jose Sison together with his son Jopet Sison. It is simply called Ipaglaban Mo!
