Buena Familia is a 2015 Philippine family drama series directed by Gil C. Tejada, starring Kylie Padilla, Martin del Rosario, Julie Anne San Jose, Jake Vargas and Julian Trono. The drama series premiered on GMA Network and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV on July 28, 2015, replacing the top-rating drama series Yagit on the network’s Afternoon Prime block. The drama series also features the return of the loveteam of Bobby Andrews and Angelu de Leon to Philippine television.

The Half Sisters is a Filipino family drama to be broadcast by GMA Network topbilling Barbie Forteza, and Thea Tolentino, together with Derrick Monasterio and introducing the newcomer Andre Paras. It is set to premiere on June 9, 2014 replacing Villa Quintana on the network’s GMA Afternoon Prime afternoon block and worldwide on June 10, 2014 via GMA Pinoy TV.

In the series, Rina (Jean Garcia) is the childbearing woman of the “twins,” one sired through amorous marital copulation with her husband Alfred (Ryan Eigenmann) and the other sired when she was raped by her former boyfriend Benjie (Jomari Yllana). Benjie is sent to prison because of what he did; while Rina remains a loving wife to Alfred as they live a financially comfortable life together. Eventually, Rina got pregnant and gives birth to twins Diana (Barbie Forteza) and Ashley (Thea Tolentino). However, Alfred is having doubts about who the father is, he demands Rina to undergo DNA testing that resulted to a confirmation of hetero-paternal superfecundation, wherein Rina’s twins have different fathers – Diana by Benjie and Ashley by Alfred. Meanwhile, after Benjie is released from prison, he managed their family business which eventually became successful. On the other hand, Alfred’s business failed. Prompted by financial woes and obligations, and knowing the truth about Diana and Benjie, Alfred asks her daughter Ashley to pretend to be the biological daughter of Benjie so his daughter can live a more comfortable life, thus, robbing Diana her birthright and as the rightful heiress. How will the uncommon situation affect Alfred and Rina’s marriage? Until when can Alfred and Ashley keep their plans going? Will Benjie and Diana ever know the truth about their father-daughter relationship? You’re My Home, originally known as Will Never Say Goodbye, is a 2015 Philippine romantic family drama television series directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng, starring Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, Jessy Mendiola, JC de Vera, Sam Concepcion and Paul Salas. The series premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on November 9, 2015, replacing Pinoy Big Brother: 737.

Their life changes when Gabriel handles a case against Christian Vergara (JC De Vera), the son of Sen. Victor Vergara. The family is thrust into a new world, a world where Gabriel needs to bend his principles, where Marian is demanded to divide her time between her children and her husband’s social functions, and where Grace is being looked down by her classmates.

With this, Grace starts to rebel, leaving her family looking after her and causing the lost of her brother Vince. Days turn to weeks until Christian Vergara is pointed as the culprit of the kidnapping of Vince, but Marian blames another person for losing her son – her own husband Gabriel. This crisis leads to the separation of Gabriel and Marian. Grace witnesses the break-up of her parents and she vows that one day, she will reunite her family again.

Twelve years later, Vince Fontanilla resurfaces as Ken and right away, Marian knows she has found her missing son.

On the Wings of Love is a 2015 Philippine romantic comedy television series directed by Antoinette Jadaone and Jojo Saguin, starring James Reid and Nadine Lustre in their first primetime television series introducing Reid’s newest first leading lady after Lustre, Ysabel Ortega. The series premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on August 10, 2015, replacing Bridges of Love.

The rom-com centers around the two different people — Leah, a simple girl with an American dream; and Clark, a boy living his American life.

On the Wings of Love tells the story of Clark Medina, a stubborn, heartbroken, Filipino American boy; and Leah Olivar, a happy-go-lucky Filipina with an American dream, and how their love grew through time, despite bad first impressions toward each other.

Leah grew up in a very poor but happy family. Her mother, Rona went to America to follow her own American dream for her family; a better future. Life is initially well for the Olivars, until a tragedy enters their lives that will prompt Leah to follow in her mother’s footsteps, by way of a choir competition in San Francisco, California. After the contest, Leah will extend her stay in San Francisco to visit her mother’s grave and find a way to legally work in the United States to earn money for her ill father, Sol. To her surprise, Leah will not find her mother’s remains. And as her visa expires, finding a job that will allow her to stay in the US will also be difficult.

With the urging of Jack, the mother of Leah’s ex-boyfriend, Jiggs, and out of desperation, Leah will agree into a fixed marriage to get her work permit. But with Leah’s limited resources, it will be hard for Jack to find her a partner. The only person that will agree to the small amount that Leah is willing to pay and is suitable for the situation is Jack’s nephew, Clark.

Clark has been in San Francisco for the past eleven years, and his life has been full of heartbreaks. He went to the US with his mother Ofelia to be introduced to his American father, but he rejected them. Tragedy doesn’t end there for Clark; soon after, his mother died and Clark was placed into foster homes where he got abused. Because of his love for his siblings in the Philippines, that depends on him, Clark persevered and survived in the US. These misfortunes and responsibilities in life deprived Clark of romantic love.

Pangako Sa ’Yo is a 2015 Philippine romantic melodrama television series based on the 2000 Filipino soap opera of the same title. Directed by Rory Quintos, Dado Lumibao, Cathy Garcia-Molina and Olivia M. Lamasan. Top-billed by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla with Jodi Sta. Maria and Angelica Panganiban . The series premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on May 25, 2015, succeeding Forevermore.

A ‘Modern retelling of a great Filipino love story’, the story revolves on the lives of Amor de Jesus, Eduardo Buenavista and Claudia Salameda; and their children Yna Macaspac and Angelo Buenavista whose lives are intertwined because of Love, Poverty, Power and Vengeance.

The story revolves on young lovers Yna Macaspac (Kathryn Bernardo) and Angelo Buenavista (Daniel Padilla), who believes that they were half-siblings. Angelo, the rebellious son of a powerful politician, falls in love with Yna, a simple but beautiful adopted daughter of a retired policeman. Unbeknownst to them, their love story is destined to repeat history. 20 years ago, Angelo’s father, Eduardo Buenavista (Ian Veneracion), also fell in love with an innocent but headstrong barrio lass named Amor (Jodi Sta. Maria). But their relationship was doomed from the start. Eduardo’s mother, Doña Benita (Pilar Pilapil), despised Amor, as she was an impediment to her plan to marry her son to Claudia (Angelica Panganiban), the illegitimate daughter of Governor Salameda (Leo Rialp). The arranged marriage would have saved their family business, and so Benita did everything to ensure that that happened. And so despite the lovers’ struggle to fight for their love, they eventually succumb to the pressures and machinations. Eduardo is made to believe that Amor betrayed him, by having a relationship with his brother, Diego (Bernard Palanca). And so when Amor tells him she was actually a victim of rape by Diego, Eduardo refused to believe her. He sends her off and marries Claudia Salameda. Amor then tries to forget everything that happened between her and Eduardo. Eventually, she finds out that she is pregnant. Years after giving birth, Amor decides to leave for Hong Kong to be a domestic helper. It is where she finds out that the mining village, Talimpao, was devastated after an earthquake. Doomed by the death of her family and her own daughter Maria Amor (who is later Yna Macaspac), Amor vows to seek vengeance to all of those who oppressed her. Tested by fate and hardened by suffering, Amor returns 20 years later, and her day of reckoning comes. She crosses paths with Eduardo and Claudia, and their son, Angelo, whom Amor sees will play the biggest role in her revenge. Ironically, crossing Angelo means crossing Yna, his inamorata. Unbeknownst to Amor, crossing Yna Macaspac will lead her to the greatest tragedy of her life; greater than what has befallen her in the past.

A man loses everything in one day in a tragic car accident. Fang Zhan Cheng (Kingone Wang) lost his fiancée, Liang Luo Han (Lorene Ren), but he also lost his own eyesight. Devastated by the loss of his fiancée, Zhan Cheng is inconsolable and even refuses a corneal transplant that could restore his vision. But his life takes an unexpected turn when Chen Yu Xi (Lorene Ren), who looks exactly like his fiancée, is hired to become Zhan Cheng’s day nurse. Another young woman, Xu Ya Ti (Nita Lei), receives Luo Han’s heart in a transplant and begins to exhibit many of Luo Han’s mannerisms and personality.

It’s Showtime (formerly known as Showtime) is a Philippine noontime musical variety show broadcast on ABS-CBN. The show is also broadcast worldwide through The Filipino Channel. The show premiered on October 24, 2009 as a morning talent show for over four regular seasons and various special editions. On January 28, 2012, the show aired its final episode with its two-year competition format and ended with an impartial farewell. On January 30, the program revealed a teaser showing its reincarnated look as a reformatted noontime show now entitled It’s Showtime, which premiered on February 6, 2012. The show simulcasted on Studio 23 (now ABS-CBN Sports and Action) during its relaunch week. It aired live daily on CgeTV’s website.

Competition format

On October 24, 2009, Showtime premiered as a morning program, airing before the network’s noontime shows, serving as the replacement for Pilipinas, Game KNB? (after its successful 8-year run). The original cast consisted of Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Kim Atienza, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz, and Vice Ganda as the permanent judge. During the third season, the show added previously evicted judges Billy Crawford and Karylle as hosts.

In its first four seasons (see below), Showtime had its competition format, wherein three groups, each made up of two to twenty-five members (with no age limit), performing a single performance, whether it is a song and/or dance number oAfter the group’s performance, the judges would give a collective yes or no to the group. If the judges give a yes, the group is considered part of the main contest, with the judges’ scores to the group’s performance to be included in the calculation for the winner. A no would, of course, mean exclusion of the group from the main contest. This segment was removed during season 2. In season 3, during the February 16, 2011 episode, the said segment was returned but no random selection, instead the group automatically performs on stage.

Ningning (Lit: Sparkle / English: Shine) is a 2015 Philippine drama television series directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, starring Jana Agoncillo and Beauty Gonzalez. The series premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on July 27, 2015, replacing Oh My G!.

The series shows life through the eyes of a little girl named Ningning. Born in a secluded island called Isla Baybay, Ningning grew up living a simple life with her father Dondon, her mother Lovely, and her grandmother Mamay. As a fisherman, Dondon barely earns enough to make ends meet but the constant support and love of his family makes him feel like the richest man in the world. Through their love for each other, everyday in Ningning’s life seems happy and content. As fate would have it, a strong typhoon ravished the island and destroyed the boat by which Dondon makes his living. This forced the family to leave for the city to find a better life. Although faced with many challenges in their life in the city, Ningning and her family showed that though hope, perseverance, love of family and friends, all things are achievable. Through the eyes of Ningning the world takes on an innocent perception full of beautiful relationships, second chances, forgiveness, and love.

Kris TV, also known as Kris RealiTV / Kris & Bimby Summer TV is a Philippine morning lifestyle talk show by ABS-CBN. It is hosted by the “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino, who is making a talk show comeback after two years since Boy & Kris, and is more of a talk show comeback evolving from her previous solo talk show entitled Today with Kris Aquino and claimed by some as the local counterpart of the high-rated defunct talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show. It debuted on June 27, 2011, and currently airing weekday mornings at 7:30am right before the Team Animazing Japanese anime block on ABS-CBN’s Umaganda morning block.

On the first quarter of 2011, Aquino tweeted on her Twitter account that her defunct talk show Today With Kris Aquino will be back on air, but as the days passed, she announced that she will be officially back on a talk show but it will be entitled as Kris TV.

Kris TV premiered on June 27, 2011. It was aired from 9:30am to 10:30am right before the talent reality show Showtime (now a noontime show entitled It’s Showtime).

From June 4, 2012 to February 7, 2014, the show was moved to an earlier timeslot from 8:00am to 9:00am, with Umagang Kay Ganda as its pre-programming.

Since February 10, 2014, the timeslot has been extended to a more earlier and longer 7:30−9:00am timeslot.

The program aims to focus on everyday lifestyle, and educational places to go that housewives, husbands, and kids can relate to. Aquino’s talk show varies different topics and segments not only limiting to interviews, but to daily life and close bonding moments among the audience and the special guest(s) of the day.
