The Story of Us May 11 2016 Wednesday teaser.
The Story of Us is a 2016 Philippine romantic drama television series directed by Richard Somes, starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, together with an ensemble cast. The series will premiere on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on February 29, 2016, replacing On the Wings of Love.
Dolce Amore (English: Sweet Love) is a 2016 Philippine romantic comedy television series directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar and Cathy Garcia-Molina, starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano. The series premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on February 15, 2016, replacing Pangako Sa ‘Yo.
The story is about Serena (Liza Soberano), a rich, sophisticated, and beautiful Italian bella; and Tenten (Enrique Gil), a poor and hardworking Manila boy who will do anything for his family, and how their worlds collide as they search for identity and love.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (Lit: The Man from the Province or The Provincial Man) is a 2015 Philippine action drama television series based on the 1997 Fernando Poe, Jr. film of the same title, courtesy of FPJ Productions. Directed by Malu Sevilla, Avel Sunpongco and Toto Natividad, it is topbilled by Coco Martin, together with an ensemble cast. The series premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on September 28, 2015, replacing Nathaniel.
My Super D is a 2016 Philippine superhero fantasy drama television series directed by Frasco Mortiz and Lino Cayetano, starring Dominic Ochoa, Marco Masa and Bianca Manalo. The series premiered on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida evening block and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on April 18, 2016, replacing Game ng Bayan. This is Dominic Ochoa’s very first lead role after playing supporting roles in numerous teleseryes.
The original Super D (Richard Yap), a being from another planet who draws his power from a blue diamond, is a superhero who saves the lives of many people, including a barangay captain named Dado (Ronnie Lazaro), who was in turn inspired by the heroism of Super D and dedicates his life in serving others. His wife Belen (Sylvia Sanchez) gives birth to a son named Dodong (Marc Santiago). Dodong considered Super D as his idol during his childhood and met Nicole and Tony with whom he befriended.
A crime lord, named Don Zulueta (Ronaldo Valdez), knowing Super D’s secret he used a woman (Precious Lara Quigaman) to pin him down. Super D fell in love with this woman, without both of them knowing the Don’s plan. Don Zulueta’s criminal group was able to kill Super D. To prove the superhero’s death, the criminals bombed a shopping mall, where Dado is among the casualties of the bombing.
Dodong (Dominic Ochoa), grew up as an adult, ended marrying Nicole (Bianca Manalo), and they had a family over their own. Dodong, a construction worker, got involved accident at the site he was working in. Tony (Marvin Agustin), instead of helping Dodong, hired a lawyer to get Dodong imprisoned. While Dodong was imprisoned, Tony took Nicole for himself. Later in the story, Pablo (Nonie Buencamino), a graphic artist and trusted friend of the original Super D helps Dodong. Also with the graphic artist’s help he was able to find the blue diamond and became the next Super D.
We Will Survive is an upcoming 2016 Philippine comedy-drama television series directed by Jeffrey Jeturian, starring Pokwang and Melai Cantiveros. The series will premiere on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on February 29, 2016, succeeding Pasión de Amor.
Tubig at Langis (Lit: Water and Oil) is a 2016 Philippine melodramatic family drama television series based on the 1980 film Langis at Tubig, starring Vilma Santos, Amy Austria-Ventura and Dindo Fernando. Directed by FM Reyes, it is topbilled by Cristine Reyes, Zanjoe Marudo and Isabelle Daza. The series will premiere on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold afternoon block and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on February 1, 2016, replacing All of Me.
Doble Kara began with the story of a poverty-stricken Laura (Mylene Dizon) who had no means of acquiring money for her dying mother’s medical treatment. Laura, who had no choice but to resort to prostitution due to desperation, was impregnated by a married man named Antonio Dela Rosa (Allen Dizon).
Despite of what happened, Ishmael (Ariel Rivera) who has shown Laura true love, marries her, and steps in as the father of her two unborn children. On the same day of Laura’s childbearing, Lucille (Carmina Villaroel), Antonio’s wife, too, gives birth to their child, Sofia. However, the couple’s daughter died shortly thereafter its delivery in consequence of its premature birth.
As Antonio and Lucille grieve and mourn for their daughter’s early passing, Laura and Ishmael enjoyed and lived a happy life with their twin daughters, Kara and Sara (Julia Montes), regardless of being poor. However, when Kara was diagnosed with leukemia, the twins’ parents was forced to separate the two and give up Kara to her biological father Antonio, who had the means to take care of her, because they don’t have the money for her treatments. Unbeknownst to her of the existing relationship between her husband and Kara, Lucille adopts and brings Kara abroad where she recovers from her illness.
The two siblings, despite sharing the same appearance, grew up having two separate lives, and exhibit contrasting personalities. Sara, who has an extreme fondness of beauty contests and pageants, grew up ambitiously towards her own life and dream. While, Kara grew up to be charming, sweet, mellow, very sophisticated, and artistically inclined.
As time passes, a grown-up Kara returned back to her hometown, and had made a strong resolution to herself to find her family, against her father’s wishes. While, Sara, on the other hand, remained ignorant of her sister’s whereabouts, busy and determined to pursue her dream of becoming rich and famous.
What will Sara and Kara do when fate brings them back together after many years? How will the sisters’ relationship change after they grew up having different lives?
It’s Showtime (formerly known as Showtime) is a Philippine noontime musical variety show broadcast on ABS-CBN. The show is also broadcast worldwide through The Filipino Channel. The show premiered on October 24, 2009 as a morning talent show for over four regular seasons and various special editions. On January 28, 2012, the show aired its final episode with its two-year competition format and ended with an impartial farewell. On January 30, the program revealed a teaser showing its reincarnated look as a reformatted noontime show now entitled It’s Showtime, which premiered on February 6, 2012. The show simulcasted on Studio 23 (now ABS-CBN Sports and Action) during its relaunch week. It aired live daily on CgeTV’s website.
Competition format
On October 24, 2009, Showtime premiered as a morning program, airing before the network’s noontime shows, serving as the replacement for Pilipinas, Game KNB? (after its successful 8-year run). The original cast consisted of Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Kim Atienza, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz, and Vice Ganda as the permanent judge. During the third season, the show added previously evicted judges Billy Crawford and Karylle as hosts.
In its first four seasons (see below), Showtime had its competition format, wherein three groups, each made up of two to twenty-five members (with no age limit), performing a single performance, whether it is a song and/or dance number oAfter the group’s performance, the judges would give a collective yes or no to the group. If the judges give a yes, the group is considered part of the main contest, with the judges’ scores to the group’s performance to be included in the calculation for the winner. A no would, of course, mean exclusion of the group from the main contest. This segment was removed during season 2. In season 3, during the February 16, 2011 episode, the said segment was returned but no random selection, instead the group automatically performs on stage.
Be My Lady is a 2016 Philippine romantic comedy television series directed by Theodore Boborol, starring Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga. The series premiered on ABS-CBN’s PrimeTanghali noontime block and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on January 18, 2016, replacing Ningning.

Magandang Buhay (lit. Good Life) is a Filipino lifestyle-morning television talk show to be broadcast by ABS-CBN. It is hosted by Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal, and Melai Cantiveros. It debuted on April 18, 2016, and airs weekday mornings from 7:30 am to 9:00 am, and also to be aired worldwide via The Filipino Channel.
This will serve as the replacement of now-defunct talk show, Kris TV, hosted by Kris Aquino on the same network.
